We’re making a difference
in Banyule

Our team of volunteers advocate for change at all levels of government and roll up our sleeves to deliver tangible results for our Banyule community.

Banyule Clean Energy Expo

Join us for this exciting FREE Expo on September 25! Learn everything you need to know about reducing your energy use - and saving money!

You’ll be able to take a close-up look at electric vehicles, electric cargo bikes, heat pumps, solar panels and solar home equipment, and much, much more.

Also featuring talks and demonstrations by home energy experts, as well as activities for the kids, it’s going to be HUGE.

EV bulk buy

Our EV bulk buy is a fantastic opportunity for the Banyule community to gain better access to EV’s through affordable prices.

If the price of a new EV is still out of your reach, even with rebates and interest-free loans, you might like to consider a second-hand EV.

In partnership with the Good Car Co, we'll deliver quality second-hand Nissan Leafs which are priced between just over $21,000 up to around $43,000. The bulk-buy will launch in November this year, so register your interest with us via email to make sure you don’t miss out!

A community battery for Banyule

Giving you access to clean energy, generated by home solar systems in your neighbourhood.

We're delighted to announce that we've been awarded a grant from the Banyule City Council 's Community Energy Innovation Grants program to scope the requirements for a community battery in the Bellfield area.

The battery will store energy generated during the day from household solar PV systems, which can then be used at night to help power local households and reduce pressure on the grid. Whether homes have solar systems installed or not, they’ll all have access to the stored power.

We’ve contracted Enhar Pty Ltd, an energy and solar PV consultancy, to assist us in identifying three to four viable sites for the battery. It’s the first stage towards the eventual installation of the community battery. We'll have a strong focus on disadvantaged areas in Banyule, to ensure that low income earners and renters will benefit.

We'd like to thank the Banyule city Council for their commitment to helping our community gain access to renewable energy.

We’re always looking for people to join us and share their passion and skills. If you can commit between five to ten hours a week, we’d love to hear from you.
